Electrical Estimator / Project Manager.
Location: Pensacola, Florida.
Full-Time Position.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator and Project Manager to join our team full-time in Pensacola, Florida.
Our work area includes Northwest Florida and South Alabama, with a primary focus on commercial and industrial electrical projects. Many of our projects are prime electrical contracts, where we work directly with project owners, including local governments, utilities, universities, and other institutions.
We are looking for someone with solid estimating and project management experience who understands the electrical industry and can help us identify, estimate, win, and successfully manage profitable projects from start to finish.
Types of Projects We Perform.
Our work includes a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, including:
- Sports lighting.
- Roadway, site, and area lighting.
- Commercial emergency generator systems.
- Wastewater and utility facilities.
- Medium-voltage underground electrical systems.
- Fuel facilities.
- Switchgear upgrades.
- University and college campus electrical work.
- Traffic signalization and related infrastructure.
- Industrial plant work.
If you have experience or a specialty in a particular area of the electrical trade—such as traffic signalization, industrial facilities, medium voltage, utility work, or another specialized field—we would like to hear about it.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for both estimating and managing electrical projects, including.
Estimating:
- Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates.
- Prepare and submit proposals, bid forms, bid bonds, addendums and other required bid forms.
- Using Accubid electrical estimating software.
- Soliciting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Identifying opportunities to bid on projects that fit our company and have strong profit potential.
- Understanding labor, material, equipment, and other project costs.
- Helping identify risks and opportunities before submitting bids.
Project Management: After projects are awarded, you will help manage them from inception through completion, including.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
- Scheduling material deliveries and equipment.
- Obtaining pricing and scheduling cranes, rental equipment, concrete deliveries, and other project needs.
- Reviewing and assisting with contracts.
- Working with owners, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Preparing and managing project schedules.
- Processing submittals and coordinating approvals.
- Preparing invoices, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Monitoring project costs, profitability, and progress.
- Helping ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Managing and supporting field superintendents and employees to ensure accountability, quality workmanship, productivity, and a safe work environment.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have.
Field experience is a major plus. If you have worked in the electrical field as an electrician, foreman, superintendent, or in another hands-on role, please be sure to include that experience when applying.
